Why must the drumming never stop on a certain tropical island? Learn why — in Westside Sound’s latest video about a “fabled” visit to a tropical paradise.
Just in time for the 4th of July this year, Westside Sound Big Band of Albuquerque released a video from our Independence Day party. Honoring our armed forces and veterans, this video includes hymns for the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
This is an instrumental version of “Spanish Eyes” made famous by Engelbert Humperdinck, Wayne Newton, and Al Martino in the 1960s, and is another video from our April Fool’s Day party.
Two fast-paced polkas played at our May 6th party at Piano Source‘s performance and dance space: the “Pennsylvania Polka,” and “Beer Barrel Polka.”
This video, also from our April Fool’s Day party, includes Frank Sinatra’s “Almost Like Being In Love” and the classic Woody Herman “Woodchopper’s Ball.”
This video, also from our April Fool’s Day party, includes highlights from Artie Shaw’s “Begin the Beguine” and the lively “720 in the Books.”
This video includes highlights Judy Garland’s “You Made Me Love You (I Didn’t Want to Do It),” the lively “The Opener,” and Sammy Nestico’s “Groovin’ Easy.”
Performance highlights includes Harry James’ “Two O’Clock Jump,” newer jazz standard “Birdland,” Glenn Miller’s “St. Louis Blues March,” and Latin flavored “Temptation.”
